Staff

Princess Road School is professionally run by highly qualified and caring staff with many years experience in childcare, pre-school education and formal teaching. 

There are at present two qualified teachers plus additional qualified assistants on hand to care for and supervise small groups of children.  This allows considerable individual attention for each child.

Pauline Wilson

The School is owned and managed daily by myself, Pauline Wilson.  I am a qualified infant/junior teacher and have worked in local schools before moving into the private sector. I have also tutored childcare and playgroup courses for Early Years Wales and Llandrillo College.  I hold an assessor´s qualification which enables me to assess trainees in the workplace.  

Support Workers

We sometimes add Support Workers to the staff team to assist children with additional needs and provide 1:1 support when necessary. The Conwy Referral Scheme provides financial and multi-agency support for pre-school children and we can access this scheme.

All our staff are carefully chosen and are subject to police and health checks. They are all over 18 years of age and we have male and female nursery assistants. They undertake regular training in 1st Aid, Food Safety and Safeguarding. There is on-going professional development in place with additional short courses available to all staff. We are able to provide care through the medium of English and incidental Welsh. 

Between them the staff have a wide range of skills and abilities to offer but most importantly they share a common bond which includes a genuine love of children, a desire to provide what is best for them, and an ambition to ensure Princess Road School continues to offer the best childcare and education available for your children.
