Playgroup
Playgroup sessions are held daily for children aged 2 years plus. We receive funding from the Welsh Assembly Government to provide free early years education. We work closely with the Early Years Centre of Conwy County Borough Council who allocate and monitor the funding. Children are entitled to this early years grant starting the school term after their 3rd birthday. Our playgroup gives children the opportunity to experience fun activities in a secure setting. We provide a happy, busy and purposeful learning environment. The children follow a theme based curriculum planned to promote the desirable outcomes in each of the six areas of learning. Our Playgroup is also part of the Flying Start initiative currently funded by the Welsh Assembly Government which gives children the opportunity to attend daily playgroup sessions the term after their 2nd birthday. Play is at the centre of our learning and the children are at the centre of all our play. Playgroup sessions are held every morning from 9.00 to 11.30am and every afternoon from 1pm to 3.30pm.
